Article Processing Charges (APC)

Article Publication Fee

BioSight does not charge authors any submission, screening, or peer-review fee.

For manuscripts accepted for publication, an article publication fee of PKR 5,000 is payable. The fee is requested only after the manuscript has received final editorial acceptance.

Payment of the publication fee has no influence on peer review or editorial decision-making and does not guarantee acceptance. Manuscripts that are rejected are not charged.

Information about the applicable fee is available publicly on this page before authors begin the submission process. Authors may contact the journal at biosight@uok.edu.pk for billing-related questions.

Waiver Policy

Authors who lack institutional, grant, or other financial support may request a full or partial waiver of the PKR 5,000 article publication fee. The corresponding author must submit the request to biosight@uok.edu.pk after the manuscript has received final editorial acceptance and before payment is made. The request should briefly explain the absence of available funding.

Waiver requests are considered individually and confidentially and are not guaranteed. A waiver request or decision will not influence peer review, editorial assessment, or acceptance.

Other Charges

BioSight does not charge submission, screening, peer-review, page, colour-figure, withdrawal, language-editing, or supplementary-material fees. The stated publication fee is the only mandatory author charge.

Business Model and Revenue Sources
BioSight Journal is supported by the Department of Physiology, University of Karachi, and by article publication fees collected only after final acceptance. The journal does not receive revenue from subscriptions because all content is published on an immediate open-access basis. Financial support and revenue sources do not influence peer review or editorial decisions.

Advertising Policy
BioSight Journal does not currently accept commercial advertising. If advertising is introduced in the future, it will be kept clearly separate from editorial content and will not influence manuscript selection, peer review, or editorial decision-making.

Direct Marketing
Any communication inviting manuscript submissions will be accurate, appropriately targeted, and unobtrusive. BioSight Journal will not make misleading claims about indexing, acceptance, publication speed, impact metrics, or editorial services.
